About Me

MY NAME IS 4 (yes, like the number)

Everyone loves a story.  Here's mine:

I started building things as a kid. My first job as an adult was building houses with my older brother.  We built some pretty amazing stuff together and I learned skills that would be useful for the rest of my life. Next, in the Service, I learned a lot about the importance of perseverance, and about the art of attention to detail.  Now I am a recent college graduate, an aspiring urban agriculturalist, a handyman, and a woodworker looking for my next project.

What do you need done?

My Promise

I’ll only work with the best materials available and I guarantee all of my work for one year. I never compromise quality for time and give my clients realistic schedules that accommodate their lives. I strive for honest customer service, and I am fully certified and insured by the ACHP (Association of Certified Handyman Professionals).

4 did a great job helping me deal with the problem of how to put up blinds on an 8 foot by 22 foot window in my loft . . . he designed and installed a hanging system that, three years later, is still functional and aesthetically pleasing and which came in on time and way under budget!

Over the course of several years 4 designed and installed 13 raised garden beds and an irrigation system behind our building. He did a great job turning a portion of a parking lot into a viable and attractive garden space.

4 Nichols was such a pleasure to have hired to do carpentry in my new loft. He was always on time, knowledgeable about his business, and was able to make my visions a reality. He worked quickly and left the job site spotless. I highly recommend him, and will hire him, again, for future projects.
— Katherine DuBose, Professional Artist and Instructor
Mr. Nichols is incredibly professional and took to new and challenging tasks with ease. I would highly recommend him.
— Kyle Webster, Manager at Bank Of America
Aside from his unique name, 4 utilized uncommon approaches to solve problems. I can attest first hand to his ability to remain calm and collected during stressful situations.

He is intelligent, like-able, and works brilliantly in a team environment. He displayed a lot of leadership traits that were far beyond someone as young as he. It was my sincere privilege to work beside 4, and I would happily do it again if afforded the opportunity.
— Larry Cousino, Ret., Uniter States Air Force
